Judith Arnt (HTC Columbia) showed her time trialing class by winning stage 5 at La Route de France today. She beat next fastest Tatiana Antoshina (Valdarno) by 15seconds. Olga Zabalinskaia (Safi Pasta) was third at 17 seconds.

Judith Arnt’s strong time trial effort moves here right up to second place on the general classification, a mere second behind Annemiek van Vleuten (Nederland Bloeit) who still holds the lead. Olga Zabalinskaia is still in third place, 7 seconds down on Annemiek van Vleuten.

With the top three positions of general classification so close, Nederland Bloeit will have to work hard to maintain their lead tomorrow.

Stage 6 tomorrow, consists of a 110.9 km fast course from Luxeuil les Bains to Saint die des Vosges.

Very fast girls!
